Does this sound familiar?
Your issue: a few days a week for about 10 to 15 minutes your Nest home camera or doorbell goes offline? For example, you setup two or three Nest cameras. Several times a day one of them will go offline. The offline period lasts about 5-10 minutes before resolving itself. During the outages you can verify that Wi Fi is working and that you have an internet connection.
Possible Issues You May be Facing
You may have your Nest cams or Nest IQ and one of them goes offline for a few minutes several times a day. You may be able to view recorded activity during the outage, which could possibly mean that the camera was online but the cloud services can't display it.
You may also have a similar experience if you have several indoor Nest IQ cameras. One camera could be working without any interruptions, but another could be offline for a portion of the. In which case you would be getting notifications that the camera is offline via email. If you power down the back camera for a while a reboot it comes back and works for a while then we start again.
Other issues may include
- Your camera is not connecting during setup and you see an error code
- You have multiple Nest cameras, but only one is offline
- You have a new router or changed Wi-Fi password and your camera is offline
- You’re getting a lot of camera offline notifications
- Your camera disconnects at around the same time and then reconnects
- Your other devices are connected to Wi-Fi, except the Nest camera
- Your camera is offline and doesn’t appear to reconnect
- You see a solid yellow light on the camera
- You see a solid red light on the camera
